Every new year I think I should start a blog...I have tried a few times, but by mid-year I lose focus or run out of things to write about and my good idea in January tends to go by the wayside by June (or sooner!)...so wish me luck as I start a new blog (again).
The goal for this blog is to be consistent and post once a month. As far as topics, I plan to keep it open with an emphasis on jewelry, the creation of jewelry and my business efforts around jewelry...
For the last several years, I have come up with a word or phrase for the upcoming year. I have chosen these words to set an intention or focus for the new year ahead...and in 2025 my word for the year is embrace! Last year, I had some major changes in my life which left me overwhelmed at times and taking things slow. But enough time has passed now that I am ready to hit the ground running with life in general and more specifically with my jewelry business (this will be the first year that I do jewelry full time!)
I like the concept of actively (with intention) accepting and supporting myself as I navigate all the adventures and challenges in 2025, but what I was really drawn to with the word embrace and its definition was the part about "enthusiastically". I don't want to sit back this year and constantly doubt myself or my life plans (some of what I did last year!)...I know I don't have all the answers and I am sure there will times in the upcoming year where I will have doubts, but I want to really move forward with energy and excitement for all the new things ahead of me. And as I am writing, I realized that I could use this blog to capture and document how the year is going (add that to the list of topics for future blog posts).
So now that I have laid out the groundwork for the blog and setting my intentions and wish for the upcoming year, I think I will end this post...Hope you will come back next month and see how life is going...
