As I reflect over the year in terms of my jewelry, I have mixed feelings on how the year went. On the positive side, I had one of my best shows this year in terms of jewelry sold and positive customer feedback, which made me feel validated as a jewelry designer. But I also had a few shows with lukewarm responses which left me questioning myself. I created my website earlier this year which is something I have been wanting to do for awhile now and I am excited on how it turned out. Although now, I need to figure out the best way to promote it. On the creative side, I experimented with my enameling to create bigger and bolder pieces which I really liked, but felt like I could push it even further! So although somethings could have gone better, overall there was more positive than negative in 2017!
As I look forward to 2018, one of the things that I want to improve is to allow more time to be creative. With that in mind, I am committing to do 100 days of jewelry starting January 1st and going till April 30th...Hoping this will allow me to focus on both honing my craft (being more consistent and working on improving my techniques) and my creativity. That is why I am starting this blog...to be able to document the journey. So stay tuned for more in the New Year!
Wanted to wish everyone joy throughout the holiday season and a peaceful and happy New Year!
